Position Summary

The UNM Anderson School of Management, accredited with the Association for the Advancement of Colleges and Schools of Business (AACSB), presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Business Analyst. Our management programs enroll approximately 2000 undergraduate students and 850 graduate students. We are seeking talented, enthusiastic professionals who have passion for innovating, consulting, and shaping the future of management education in New Mexico.

The Business Analyst will join Andersons Deans Office and be assigned to the Sr. Operations Manager to support all faculty and staff development, faculty research, faculty resource assessments, faculty and staff surveying, and Faculty Success (i.e., Digital Measures) oversight. This person will take the lead on multiple diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the Anderson School. The successful candidate will oversee a variety of complex projects related to Anderson's Faculty Promotion and Tenure Review, faculty and student data analysis, etc. Under the supervision of the Sr. Operations Manager, the Business Analyst will work closely with the Deans office team and across Andersons multiple professional staff and faculty administrators to assist in the design, development, coordination, and facilitation of the execution of numerous specified projects and initiatives that will support Anderson's mission and strategic plan. Establishing project priorities and schedules, providing specialized advice, facilitation, and support to management, faculty, staff, and/or students in the development and implementation of effective systems, procedures, programs, and/or practices will also be critical for this role. As an integral team member of Anderson's Dean's Office, this position will interface closely with the Deans of Anderson, department chairs, faculty, and other staff units within Anderson.

Candidates with superb analytical and project management skills, who are highly detail-oriented, and who have a background in developing and overseeing complex initiatives, tracking/reporting data, and ensuring project completion are strongly encouraged to apply. A track record of using inclusive practices to communicate and collaborate with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization is critical to the success of this position.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A bachelors degree in business, administration, or related discipline
  • Prior experience using tracking, analyzing and reporting data in an academic setting
  • Experience establishing and maintaining records, files and data related to specialized projects
  • Experience with implementing effective reporting/tracking mechanisms for a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
