Position Summary |
PLEASE NOTE: This position is for the UNM Gallup Branch,located in Gallup, NM, approximately 130 miles west of Albuquerque, NM. The University of NewMexico Gallup Branch, Office of the Director of Business Operations, invitesapplications for an Accountant 1, 2, or 3 (depending on education andexperience). This position will work collaboratively with the Director of BusinessOperations in, but not limited to, performing basic andadvanced accounting functions such as ledger/fund analysis, cost analysis, fundreconciliation, posting, and fiscal control of inventory. Analyzing and preparingcomplex financial reports from standard operating statistics, financial dataand/or projections. Investigating and resolving problems related to funds,budgets, expenditures, and/or procurement practices. Aiding in the development,implementation and maintenance of internal fiscal systems and procedures,applying basic concepts, methods, and techniques. May serve as unit/areatransaction initiator or requisitioner and as back-up for payroll time entry and cashiering. Performing miscellaneous job-related duties asassigned. Minimum Qualifications |
Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 9 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; no previous experience required. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
